100% of this painting's sale will be donated to Lansing's Bridge to Recovery, a grassroots nonprofit in Ashe County, NC that is working to restore residential infrastructure in the wake of Hurricane Helene. You can learn more about their work and mission at https://www.lansingbtr.org/
This view of Lansing, NC is painted on a large oak leaf from a tree that fell accross South Big Horse Creek Road during Hurricane Helene. While that tree was lost and has long since been removed, this leaf has been preserved to celebrate the resilience and continued recovery of this community.
All original paintings will arrive carefully framed, and with a signed certificate of authenticity. These pieces are preserved to archival standards, with each leaf adhered to linen and protected by a shatter-proof clear acrylic sheet. This leaf painting is mounted to 12x16" and framed in an approximately 13x17" black frame.
These painted leaves are so very precious to me. If you choose to bring this piece home, please feel free to send or tag me in photos of its destination--I love see where they wind up!
